OUR APPROACH:

Use our flexible core technology to design 'Powered-by-MV' 3D products for non- supervised environments

MVC-F5 Product:

"F5" is the first handheld 3D camera that was designed for field use in dynamic scenes. "F5" is currently distributed in North America, Europe, Australia, Japan and Israel.

There is no shortage of 3D cameras on the market, yet despite the critical need, only a handful of 3D cameras/scanners have been found acceptable and are currently deployed. Many of the critical deficiencies that have been identified by customers are inherent in all currently available products and are overcome by MV’s core technologies.

Accessibility:

Most products on the market are bulky and heavy, thereby restricting their use in hard-to-access scenes (e.g., upper floors, outdoors, tunnels) and whenever equipment must be carried by the users. F5 is completely handheld and weighs in at less than 3kg (6lbs) (1.7 the Imager and ~1.1 the controller)

Imaging coverage:

The vast majority of 3D imagers on the market must remain static while scanning the scene and then moved several times to different locations to gain comprehensive coverage of the scene. Yet for cluttered environments found in the real world, coverage is never complete due to objects’ self-occlusions and occlusions by other objects. Only handheld imagers that can capture the scene in motion enable complete acquisition. F5 is NOT limited to coverage (F5 can capture non-static subjects in full 3D).

Imaging performance:

Currently available imagers, are limited to providing either high resolution scans of small objects or large scenes, but cannot do both. F5 can, in a matter of minutes, simultaneously capture small objects and complete scenes

Undisturbed/ unprepared scenes:

Many of the current imagers require the placement of markings or manipulation of the targeted scene by the user. However in practically every case operators either must not, or cannot disturb the scene to be captured. F5 does NOT require any preparation of the scene, and is eye-safe. Just aim the imager and capture.

Usability:
Most imagers on the market were designed to be used by professional photographers and engineers. F5 is designed to be used by field operators, who are not professionally trained photographers with years of experience!
